This page describes Cookie Options as a self-hosted consent manager. It is not legal advice.

Account data

If you create an account we store your email address and a hashed password. Staff accounts can see every customer and site on this installation.

Consent log

When a visitor saves a choice, the public logger may store a site id, a daily session hash, the consent JSON, the page URL, a daily IP hash and a user-agent hash. The raw IP address and user agent are not stored. The banner reason field is not stored.

Cookies on your visitors’ browsers

The banner writes keys on the customer website origin, including stcm.{namespace}.consent.*, stcm.{namespace}.hasConsented, stcm.{namespace}.iconDismissed and og_consent_last_log_{namespace}.

Quick Scan

If a signed-in owner or staff member runs Quick Scan, Cookie Options fetches the public HTTPS homepage HTML of the registered domain and matches known tracker strings. The scan does not execute JavaScript. The request uses the Cookie Options scanner user agent. Results can be stored in the scan and cookie inventory tables for that site.
